Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup maple cinnamon walnuts, toasted and roughly chopped
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Farenheit and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the oats, walnuts, flour, sugar, cinnamon and salt. Mix to combine.
  3. Add the cooled (and melted) butter and lightly mix. Then add 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup to your liking. Mix until various sized crumbles are formed.
  4. Place onto a sheet pan and drizzle with reserved coconut oil. Bake in the over for 12-15 minutes, stirring halfway through to prevent burning.
  5. If you want an extra crunch, turn the oven on high broil for about 2 minutes until you get your desired golden brown. Be careful not to burn as it browns very quickly!

Recipe Notes:

  • Makes between 3-4 cups. Store cooled granola in a airtight container for up to 2 weeks. Though, I imagine you'll eat it before then!
